I Need A Comeback Statement
by journey-on inwhen i suggested to my jw sister that the wts has caused so much pain and division in our family, she told me it was because my brothers and i had made the choice to leave.
we were responsible for the division---not the society.
we are the ones that chose to leave the love and protective shelter of jehovah's organization and we are the ones that have the choice to return to the fold.. i need an intelligent comeback, preferably one that will plant a seed, not one too sarcastic.

I don't think He would be too welcome in Brooklyn..especially if he began changing their policies and pointing out their mistakes publically or not. I really think they are murderers if the right conditions existed......
But on the flip side....are they justified if someone comes in and takes away all the fruits of their labors? Like a thief....stealing from thieves?

When you think of the word Rebel.....
Jesus was viewed as an authorized rebel who "fuffilled" the law and led a rebellion by exposing those who tried to inforce the old testament rules.
Would God Himself be viewed as a rebel to us and our laws and rules..especially if He started pointing out the flaws and utter stupidity and lack of common sense being used by our current leadership he appointed over us in front of us?
Perhaps we need a topic to further investigate what a rebel is....and see if it could actually be something good imo.
Do you appoint or "allow" idiots to riegn over you? Cause if you do..and you decide you need to put them back in their place...you are setting yourself up to be seen as a rebel in their eyes and those who follow them.....those YOU told to follow and obey them!?

by RULES & REGULATIONS inlast week was the 2 day assembly.i didn't go to either one.

it would be cool of God to let us have our revenge in a good positive way...
Kind of like going in a burning building after our trapped friends and family, and pulling them out exacting revenge on the bloodthirsty hypocrites who want them dead in the process.....
Hmmm...that is strange.....if that is what they really want..and their idea of paradise is to see people like us destroyed...and we are not.....Kinda like helping someone and torturing them by doing so..whether you want to or not?
Kind of like eradicating crime and wars to help the police and weapons manufacturers achieve their goal of world peace...you would also be hurting them at the same time by doing so! Is that what happens when your advertised goal is secretly your worst nightmare?

Where did JesusGet this Idea From?
by gumby inas we all know, jesus many times quoted the old law, but then he'd give a further application of that law.
one example is the passage in matthew 5:43,44 which says, "you must love your neighbor and hate your enemy (44) however i say to you, you must love your enemy and pray for those persecuting you".. so, the question is....where did jesus get the idea from which says "you must hate your enemy"?
did the 'law' teach this idea?.

As today we are told to obey the leaders and rulers of our day and their rules to the best of our abilities...we are not authorized to lead a rebellion...even if they are wrong and evil in their thoughts and intentions...as they were in Jesus' day.
HE was authorized to expose and chastise them...and was not bound by their rules and opinions..as they were trying to follow and force others to obey His themselves.....
He had the authority to change the rules...or "fuffill" them as He defined it.....
His authority came from being foretold and expected.....by His killers...who where hoping He would be ridding them of all the people who could not measure up to their standards.
He led a rebellion of sorts by exposing their evil thoughts and intentions to those who followed and obeyed them as men of God.
The next rebel leader will also be fuffilling prophecies so that His authority will not be in question or a guess...but rather undisputable....This helper or spirit of truth He foretold is also evil....which is something completly different.
Who is the most evil rebel leader of all?
That where my research is taking my guesses.....
Things are not quite what they seem the further I dig for some kind of answers.
